Lisa Westphal – Voluntee Committee Member, Manningham Relay For Life
“The Manningham Relay For Life would like to say their thanks to Jacqui and Melbourne Open Air Cinema for helping us with our big screen. The 5 m screen was fantastic for the crowd as they watched photos of their loved ones displayed to the music of Fields of Gold. It was a moving ceremony that personalises for people the reason they Relay. Afterwards we screened movies to keep the crowd entertained as they walked through the night. The screen was quick and easy to set up and perfect for the evening we had. Thanks so much for all your help and we will definitely be coming back again next year.”

Chris Barr – Assistant Principal, Coatesville Primary School
‘I would to thank Jacqui and Melbourne Open Air Cinema for the opportunity to hire an excellent 5m outdoor screen. Easy to book, appreciated the expertise Jacqui provided and a great system was supplied. The screen played a big part in making our event as special as it was. Would highly recommend!’
Andrea Moran – President Parents’ Association, Warranwood Primary School
Warranwood Primary School has held an Open Air Cinema event for the last two years on our school oval. Last year we screened Night at the Museum 2, but unfortunately due to rain we had to postpone the event. Melbourne Open Air Cinema couldn’t have been more helpful, by offering us alternative dates without any hesitation. We were lucky enough to hold the event a few weeks later and it was a huge success with not only members from our own school community attending, but also local residents from outside our school.
We opened up the kiosk and served warm popcorn, soft drinks, choc top ice-creams, glowsticks and more. Everyone gathered on the oval with picnic rugs, bean bags and deck chairs and at the end of the night all the children cheered and clapped and threw their glowsticks up in the air. The night was so wonderful that we booked straight away for this year’s event, which went ahead as planned.
This year we screened Toy Story 3 and once again opened up the kiosk. The night was fine but chilly and the oval was a sea of people snuggling under their blankets to keep warm, and again it brought together our school community and some local residents. It’s such a popular event that we’re booking in again for next year.
